Glenn reminded members, in November he had been told by the Grayson County
Dispatch supervisor, that they were keeping track of test pages and
responses. Members discussed getting status reports. R. Crow will be
following up with dispatch regarding available reports. R.
Crow asked members to consider changing how test pages occurred. He
recommended that between 1900 and 2000, test pages would occur, however
members will only notify dispatch if they do not get a call back. There w=

discussion that originally this was how it was set up, but the decision w=
as
made at that time was to respond over the radio when paged. |

Jones reported SFD has received a new engraver, and was still waiting on =

old GCAFC engraver for servicing and reconditioning. JJ wants to get an
estimate for cost to bring back up to service, which would make 2 machines
available for tag making. J. Jones said SFD would make the tags as long as
the Association purchases the tags. He also asked to have some discussion=
to
change passport colors and begin to move towards types of apparatus be
certain colors instead of departments. The intent is not to replace stock
now, but just as tags are replaced. He asked for the Chiefs to send him w=
hat
tags are needed and he would put together some costs. K. Price said he wo=

bring the old machine to SFD. |

all the available tenders to a taskforce, and added He also wanted to discuss the effective=

of the taskforces and the call out time. There have been some occasions w=

the taskforce took 20-25 minutes to get the taskforce activated. When the
taskforce arrives, the IC will assign them as needed. While the taskforce=
has
a commander, the scene IC will manage the assets. K. Price asked if his team members had =
been
receiving his advisory text messages and team members responded yes. Members also asked how to respond if the

J. Jones reported for last two weeks in Febru=
ary,
Sarah Somers reported since past discussions regarding illegal burning, there had been a review of chain of command, specifically Grayson 40. S. Somers explained he is part of the Emergency Management system and now directly reports to the Judge. They are working on the reports of illegal burns to assure they are being investigated. S. Some= rs said this was a new venture and it would take time to work the process out.= If you have any concerns and call for Law Enforcement and they did not respond= or there was an issue, email the details to R. Crow and he will forward to the County for resolution. There was some concern that members had been told th= at Grayson 40 was the only one who could respond. Members also reported they h= ad been told that the other deputies would respond but only to take a report. = S. Somers said there are some issues to work through and she needs the date, t= ime and specifics to be able to address. Members reported sometimes a deputy co= mes and sometimes not. Members asked S. Somers was a deputy to come out all the time or not. The general consensus was that a commissioned police officer should respond. If in the county, that officer should be member of the Sher= iffs Office.
R. Crow reported that we have no associate/affiliate members. S. Somers has paid dues and is asking for consideration to be approved as an individual. Members voted to grant the request. S. Somers stated she did not need the plaque that is normally give= n.
